MAKE A FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTION

How many ways are there to save a life?
At the American Red Cross of Massachusetts Bay, the possibilities seem limitless.

  • We help families rebuild their lives after fire destroys their homes.
  • We help families and communities prepare for unexpected emergencies.
  • We reunite families torn apart by war.
  • We provide services to those who are newly arrived in this country – giving them tools to create fulfilling lives here.
  • We offer nutritious food to families in need. We train people in first aid so that they can give the gift of life to others.
  • We travel throughout the country to help those whose lives are threatened by fire, flood and other natural disasters.

All American Red Cross disaster assistance is free, made possible by voluntary donations of time and money from the American people. You can help the victims of this and hundreds of other disasters across the country each year by making a financial gift to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, which enables the Red Cross to provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to those in need.

How Can I Donate?

Internet users can make a secure online credit card contribution HERE or on the "DONATE" button above.
Contributions may also be mailed to American Red Cross of Massachusetts Bay, 139 Main Street, Cambridge, MA 02142 or Call 1-800-564-1234.

One of the best ways to help disaster victims, people in need where you live, and people around the world right now is through a financial donation.

  • A donation to your Local Programs/Services helps people in need in your community through our Food Pantry; safety training courses; citizenship assistance; Nurses Aid training classes; International Tracing program and much more.
  • A donation to Local Disaster Relief helps people in your communities who have been displaced or whose lives have been disrupted due to a fire in their home or another disaster – natural or man made. The Red Cross helps to provide the basics to a family such as food, clothing and temporary housing. We also provide emotional support and provide someone with referrals to community resources to help with their continued recovery from the disaster.
  • A donation to the National Disaster Relief Fund helps disaster victims across the nation. Every year, American Red Cross chapters respond to more than 67,000 disasters a year ranging from the single family household fire to floods, earthquakes, hurricanes, winter storms, etc.
  • You can help those affected by crisis around the world each year by making a financial gift to the International Response Fund, which will provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need.

Pie chartFor all the critical services the Red Cross delivers, we remain one of the most cost-effective charities around. In fact, here in the Massachusetts Bay, we maintain a ratio of 40 volunteers for every paid staff member. Because we are accountable to our donors – the caring people like you – we are proud to be able to say that, in Massachusetts Bay, over 81 cents of every dollar donated goes directly to programs and services that save lives.
